THINGS TO DO

Have a Great Time

The Grange is ideally placed for activities to suit all tastes and ages. Staffordshire is a County with a rich cultural heritage, world-class family attractions and stunning landscapes.  So you won’t have to travel far to find plenty to see and do. There are also various annual events in the area such as the Staffordshire Show, live concerts at Cannock Chase and various concerts at Uttoxetor Racecourse. See our Local Events page for up to date details

Here are a few of our recommendations to enjoy whilst staying at The Grange:

Shugborough Estate

Activities at The Grange

The Grange is ideal for family & friends reunions or also an ideal place to meet-up for Birthdays, Easter Parties etc.
We can customise you own personal mini break by helping you find the right activities for your break. Take at what is available and give us a call when booking so we can make sure you have the best break possible.

TRY SOMETHING NEW

The Gin Experience

If you want to try something new on your holiday, why not try making your own gin? We have Nelsons Gin School just a 10 minute drive from The Grange where you can have a fabulous day then learning  about the process of making gin from industry experts. At the end of the day you leave with a bottle of your own unique gin.  There are of course many more activities in the area to enjoy during your stay with us. We suggest you book a taxi to take you to and from the venue so you can enjoy a tipple whilst you are there – useful taxi numbers can be found below.

Your day will start at Nelsons at 10.00 with coffee and introductions to the day and will close at around 3.00 pm when your taxi back to The Grange will be waiting for you. We can also provide you with a home cooked meal of either 1, 2 or 3 courses using fresh local produce on your return to The Grange. Please let us know if you will require evening meals when you book your break.

Taxis

Uttoxeter Taxis – 01889 56 90 90

Oldfield Taxis – 01889 562299

Although you may be tempted to walk to Nelsons, we would strongly advise booking a taxi as the road is very busy with no pavement and is not an safe walk especially if it is dark.
