The Gin Experience

If you want to try something new on your holiday, why not try making your own gin? We have Nelsons Gin School just a 10 minute drive from The Grange where you can have a fabulous day then learning  about the process of making gin from industry experts. At the end of the day you leave with a bottle of your own unique gin.  There are of course many more activities in the area to enjoy during your stay with us. We suggest you book a taxi to take you to and from the venue so you can enjoy a tipple whilst you are there – useful taxi numbers can be found below.

Guests staying with us for 2 nights or more will receive a 10% Discount for The Grange Accommodation and a £20 complimentary gift voucher to spend in The Nelsons Gin shop!

Your day will start at Nelsons at 10.00 with coffee and introductions to the day and will close at around 3.00 pm when your taxi back to The Grange will be waiting for you. We can also provide you with a home cooked meal of either 1, 2 or 3 courses using fresh local produce on your return to The Grange. Please let us know if you will require evening meals when you book your break.

Evening Meal Options

When you return to The Grange after your Gin experience, why not book your evening meal with us. You can choose from 1, 2 or 3 courses of lovely homemade food using fresh local produce. Our home cooked food prices are based on two people sharing:

 £28 for 1 course per couple

£38 for 2 courses per couple

£48 for 3 courses per couple

This includes complimentary tea or coffee to complete your evening. A second option is to book a local takeaway, we have a Chinese, Indian, Thai and Pizza that will all deliver to The Grange.

Although you may be tempted to walk to Nelsons, we would strongly advise booking a taxi as the road is very busy with no pavement and is not a safe walk especially in the dark.
